Shirley A. King

Shirley A. King, age 77, of DeGraff, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio.

She was born in Adams County Indiana April 27, 1941, to the late Paul and Clara (High) Hindenlang.  Shirley was also preceded in death by a sister, Irene Lloyd.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Terry L. King whom she married October 17, 1959, in Adams County Indiana.  She is also survived by her children, Jerry (Cindy) King of Decatur, Indiana, Rose (Brian) Lloyd of Berne, Indiana, Elbert King of Quincy, Ohio and Kenneth (Tiffney) King of Lewistown, Ohio; twelve grandchildren, Alicia, Ashley, Justin, Josh, Jill, Angela, Donna, Carley, Gabriele, Logan, Dakota, and Harley; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters, Louise Ray, Kate (Bob) Cotterman and Diane (Mike) Bauman; two brothers, Larry (Helen) Hindenlang and Jake (Gina) Hindenlang; a brother-in-law, Jim Lloyd and numerous nieces and nephews.

Shirley had worked in the Ft. Wayne City Schools for many years and before leaving Indiana, she received a life-membership in the PTA.  She was also active in Cub/Boy Scouts and Brownie/Girl Scouts.  Shirley was a 4-H Advisor and enjoyed wood working, ceramics, porcelain, sewing, and was a member of the Clover Leaf Square Dancing Club.  Locally, Shirley was a member of the DeGraff United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff Wednesday, October 31, 2018, from 4 to 7 P.M.

Pastor Michael Mitchell will officiate the funeral service Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the DeGraff United Methodist Church, where friends may also call one hour before the service.

Burial will be at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.
