Shirley Anderson

Shirley M. “Shirt” Anderson, 82, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at her residence. She was born April 10, 1929 in Bellefontaine, to the late Carl and Winnona “Tommie” Ricketts.

On October 1, 1954, she married Richard “Dick” Charles Anderson in Bellefontaine, and he preceded her in death April 29, 2007. Also preceding her in death was a son, Timothy Anderson, and a sister, Nancy Norton.

Surviving is a son, Scott (Kim) Anderson of West Mansfield, Ohio and two grandchildren, Karen and Joel Anderson.

Shirley worked for Murphy’s, Ritter Brothers and Busy Bee. A Bellefontaine High School graduate, she was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Bellefontaine, where she worked in the nursery for over fifty years and was an avid reader.

Pastor Jeffory Willetts will officiate a 7:00 P.M. memorial service Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Bellefontaine with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 P.M.
