Shirley A. Cloyd, 81, of Bellefontaine passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at The Homestead at Logan Acres.
She was born in Marysville, Ohio on July 23, 1935, the daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Goodrich) McCormick. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Charles R. Holycross in 1971, her second husband, Ronald Cloyd in 2003 and a brother, James Franklin McCormick.
She is survived by three sons; Jim (Joni) Holycross of Rushsylvania, Ernie (Tammy) Holycross of Kenton, and Jeff (Lynda) Holycross of Bellefontaine, two daughters; Christy (Richard) Dewey of Coffee Springs, AL and Ronna (Chuck) Adams of Coral Springs, FL, 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, and two brothers; Alan (Kathy) McCormick and David (Casey) McCormick, both of Marysville and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley enjoyed playing cards and caring for her pets, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Pastor Matthew Sandlin will officiate a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2017 in the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, N. Elizabeth St. Belle Center. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.
