Shirley A. Jorgensen, 86, of Bellefontaine passed away Saturday afternoon, September 24, 2016 at Heartland of Bellefontaine.
She was born in Black Eagle, Montana on February 22, 1930 to the late Joseph and Frances (Ferguson) Varelia. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Swingley.
Shirley worked as a dispatcher for 20 years at Montana Power. She was raised Catholic and in Black Eagle, Montana attended Blessed Sacrament Church. She enjoyed crafts, ceramics, crocheting, sewing and cooking.
Shirley is survived by her sons, Wally (Susie) Jorgensen of Spring Brach, Texas and Dale (Cindy) Jorgensen of Belle Center; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly Stenson of Spokane, Washington and several nieces & nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 328 E. Patterson Ave, Bellefontaine, with Father Dennis Caylor officiating. Burial will be in Middleburg Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Bellefontaine.
