Steve Kraus

Biography

Steve Kraus, 58, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Springfield Regional Medical Center in Springfield, Ohio.

He was born March 2, 1954 in Delaware, Ohio, to Howard Kraus of Delaware, and the late Jennie Mae (Liggett) Kraus.

He is survived by his wife, Maureen Predmore, whom he married February 25, 2000, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Also surviving is his step-mother, Margaret Kraus of Delaware; three sons, Jason (Lori) Kraus, Chris Kraus and Shane Kraus, all of Delaware; his siblings, Craig (Bev) Kraus, Carol (Doug) Porter and Cheryl Spriggs, all of Delaware; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Steve was a heavy equipment operator at J.J. Slagle in Urbana, Ohio. He was a member of the Church of Christian Union and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2166, and enjoyed fishing at Indian Lake. He was a self-taught guitar blue’s player.

The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to all the nurses and staff at the Springfield Regional Medical Center for the care they provided during Steve’s illness.

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family.
