Steven Rhoads

Steven L. Rhoads, 64, of DeGraff, passed away at 11:34 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on June 10, 1952 to the late Frank Curlis and Donelda Christine (Smith) Rhoads. He was also preceded in death by his son, Christopher Lee Rhoads and a brother, Terry Van Rhoads.

On September 28, 1973, Steve married the former Linda Burchett in Jackson Center, Ohio and she survives, along with their children, Jill (Logan) Mathys, Bill Rhoads, and Jeremy Rhoads; four grandchildren, Cierra Rhoads, Desmond Woods, Jesse LeValley, and Brody Rhoads; a step-granddaughter, Kamryn Mathys; a brother, Roger G. (Donna) Rhoads; two uncles, Keith (B.J.) Smith and Bob Smith; and many nieces and nephews.

A 1970 graduate of Riverside High School, Steve had worked as a Union Carpenter. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed driving his tractor.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes Street, DeGraff, where visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio at the convenience of the family.
