Biography

Sylvia Lee (Stafford) Butler, 72, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. She was born in Clearfield, Kentucky on August 11, 1944 to the late Zora and Ina (Howard) Stafford.

On May 20, 1961 Sylvia married Curtis Butler in Morehead, Kentucky, and he survives along with their two sons, Mark (Jill) Butler and Danny Wayne (Teresa) Butler; five grandchildren, Landyn, Sydney, Jordan, Nathan, and Laura; a sister, Bessie Jent of Morehead, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.

A homemaker, Sylvia was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She and Curtis enjoyed wintering in Florida for the past 10 years. Sylvia also liked playing Bingo, crocheting, and volunteering with Our Daily Bread. She most especially loved watching her children and grandchildren participate in school and sporting events.

Per Sylvia’s request, a private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
