Sylvia J. Crabtree

Sylvia J. Crabtree, 72, of Quincy, passed away at 9:32 a.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, Ohio. She was born in Welch, West Virginia on July 15, 1945 to the late William Eli and Rebecca Jane (Shepard) Lester.

On June 24, 1977 Sylvia married David Max Crabtree in Sidney, Ohio and he preceded her in death on November 14, 2015. She was also preceded in death by; a grandson, William Wayde Poe; a sister, Glenna Shirley; and two brothers, Okey Charles and Ozzie Lester.

Sylvia is survived by five children; Wes (Jennie) McFarlin, Michael (Sarah) McFarlin, Chrysta (Tony Poe) Crabtree, Troy Crabtree, and Robin Stewart; 11 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister Brenda (Bill) Robinson; a brother, Otis (Shannon) Lester; and several nieces and nephews.

A homemaker, Sylvia was a member of Solid Rock Church in Sidney. She enjoyed word search puzzles, watching wrestling, being outdoors around a campfire, and most especially spending time with her family.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2018 at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes Street, DeGraff, Ohio, where a funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Quincy, Ohio.

Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
