Tammy Sue Elliott

Tammy Sue Banion Elliott, age 60, of Urbana, Ohio went home to be with Jesus Saturday, February 24, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends. Tammy was preceded in death by her mother-in-law Joyce Elliott and a sister-in-law, Vicky Elliott.

Tammy was born December 23, 1957 in Springfield, Ohio, to Frederick and Lavaughna Banion who survive.

On September 5, 1992, she married Patrick Elliott and he survives. Tammy is also survived by her children, a daughter Gretchen Sue Harvey (Jason) Lapp and a son, Gregory Lowell (Jennifer) Harvey; her grandsons, Riggs Daniel Lapp, Bayes Lowell Lapp, Mills Banion Lapp, and Finnegan Lowell Harvey; sisters, Jeanette (Yale) Cline, Cynthia (Robert) Randall II, and Vicki Banion; a brother, Kevin Banion; a sister-in-law, Dee Elliott; nieces, Heather (Andrew) Cassels, Brittany (Levi) Underwood; a nephew, Robert (Jessica) Randall III; nieces Courtney Elliott, Tiffany (Tylynn) Montrose, and Bethany Alexander; great nephews and nieces Cole, Scout, Birk and Cruz Cassels, Zoie, Grady and Hale Underwood, Avery and Brynlee Randall, Cadence Elliott, Niley and Easton Alexander, and Remi and Cash Montrose.

She accomplished many things in her lifetime but always remained humble about her experiences.  She influenced many with her faith in Jesus and her love of others. Her most cherished memories were times with her family. She also found joy in simple things and did not take her blessings for granted. She especially enjoyed walking on the beach with the sun shining down on her and tackling challenges at work. Tammy dedicated much of her life to her career at American Honda and exemplified the values of a true leader.

One of Tammy’s greatest childhood memories was attending church camp with her sisters. Intent on other children experiencing such joy, she donated much of her time and money to children’s ministries. Her family has started a foundation to continue her legacy in providing for children’s ministries.

Tammy will be remembered for many things, but most especially for her beautiful smile, her determination and her genuine compassion for others. She will be dearly missed and always loved.
