Thaddeus E. “Ted” Dabrowski, 76, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Friday afternoon, May 17, 2013 at Kindred Hospital in Lima, Ohio.
He was born in Boston, Massachusetts March 22, 1937, to the late Thaddeus and Alice Dabrowski. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Dryden.
Ted is survived by his children, Dennis Dabrowski of Huber Heights, Ohio and Gerry Grow of Elgin, South Carolina; grandchildren, Chelsea Renee Grow and Creed A. Thomas; his longtime companion, Shirley Elliott of Bellefontaine and many nieces and nephews.
Ted joined the United States Air Force following high school and spent twenty years serving his country before retiring in 1974. He then went to work with the United States Postal Service from 1978 to 2004 in Bellefontaine. Ted was a member of the Eagles, VFW, American Legion and the Knights of Columbus.
The funeral service will be held at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 12 noon with Pastor Bryan Meadows officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service starting at 11 A.M. Interment will be at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio with military honors provided by the Logan County Honor Guard.
The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine handled the arrangements for the family.
