Thomas Earl Cain, 76, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, went to be with his family and the Lord Friday, May 11, 2012.
He was born October 21, 1935 in Roundhead, Ohio, to the late Albert Joseph “Jack” and Helen Evelyn (Richey) Cain. He was preceded in death by four brothers, William “Bill”, Melvin, Oscar Lee “Dick”, and Jack Jr. and two sisters, Doris (Cain) Clark and Emma Josephine Cain.
He leaves to mourn his loss, two sisters, Betty “Clara” Totty of Lima, Ohio and Jean Rogan, whom he resided with. He also leaves behind a host of family and friends.
Tom retired from the City of Bellefontaine after twenty five years of service. In 1994, he joined Ross Training Center and worked until 2009, when his health prevented him to continue.
Tom enjoyed the Logan County Special Olympics and loved to go “Truckin” in semis with his nephew, Daniel M. Rogan. He also loved to go fishing, pass out candy to every kid he saw and enjoyed walking around town and waving to everyone. To see a smile on someone’s face made Tom’s day. He was the biggest jokester you would ever meet, but had the kindest heart. Tom will be sadly missed by us all.
Calling hours are Wednesday, May 16, 2012, from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. Pastor Frank McCullough will officiate an 11:00 A.M. funeral service Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Christ Our King Church in Bellefontaine. Interment will be at the Roundhead Cemetery in Roundhead, Ohio.
