Thomas O. Easterly

Thomas O. Easterly, 73, of Rushsylvania, Ohio passed away Wednesday evening, March 22, 2017 at Mary Rutan Hospital Emergency Department, Bellefontaine, Ohio.

Tom was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana on June 20, 1943 to the late Oszy and Margaret (Fall) Easterly. He was also preceded in death by a sister Kay Brewster.

Tom was a member of the US Army Reserves and loved dogs. He retired from Navistar in Springfield (OH), where he worked for 50 years, most recently as an inspector.

Tom is survived by his wife Jackie Mefford; two daughters: Beth (John) Bloom of Ft. Wayne and Judy Bloom of Plt City, Florida; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister Donna Scudder of Homer, Michigan; a step-daughter Elle Taylor of Chewelah, Washington; a step-grandson Wyatt Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services at this time. Burial will be at a later date in Rushsylvania Cemetery.

The family was assisted with funeral arrangements by the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine.
