Thomas Clayton Sheeley

Thomas Clayton “Tom” Sheeley, age 70, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Friday morning June 23, 2017 at his home.

Tom was born in Bellefontaine October 3, 1946, to the late Earl Clayton Sheeley Jr. and Martha Louise McWade Sheeley Kessler.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Earl Sheeley.

A 1964 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Tom loved to hunt and enjoyed photography.  He treasured time spent with his grandchildren and family.  Tom retired from Honda of America in 2009 after nearly thirty years where he worked in QED.  He was a member of the Bellefontaine Elks Lodge since 1980.

Tom is survived by his wife, Dianna Lynn (Porter) Sheeley, whom he married February 15, 1979 in Bellefontaine.  He is also survived by his sons, Scott (Amy) Sheeley, John (Heather) Sheeley, and Alex (Ashley) Sheeley, all of Bellefontaine; nine grandchildren, Jayde Sheeley, Gaige Sheeley, Savannah Sheeley, Tyler (Alyssa) Sheeley, Crew Sheeley, Madisyn Norris, Davis Norris, and Bella Sheeley; two great-grandchildren, Grant and Jaksyn; a brother, Sam (Sue) Sheeley of Bellefontaine; a sister, Sherry Thompson of West Liberty, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews.

Pastor Scott Miller will officiate the funeral service Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 1 P.M. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine where visitation will be held from 11 A.M.  to 1P.M. prior to the service.  Burial will be at the Bellefontaine Cemetery in Bellefontaine.
