Tom Knowles Taylor, 58, of Zanesfield, Ohio, died Saturday, May 23, 2009, at his residence. He was born June 2, 1950, in Kenton, Ohio, a son of Berdene Rose Titus Taylor, who survives in Napoleon, and the late John W. Taylor.
On April 15, 1973, he married the former Linda Cramer in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and she survives, along with two sons, David Lawson (Ann) Cordes of Wauseon, Ohio, and Tom K. (Kim) Taylor Jr. of Belle Center, Ohio; two brothers, Tim (Shirley) Taylor of Holland, Ohio, and Ned (Dorothy) Taylor of Liberty Center; two sisters, Choice Ann (Randy) Schutt of Oregon and Tina (Jesse) Scott of Napoleon; and three grandchildren, Kristopher Van Buskirk, Crue Shaw and Kaitlin Taylor.
A 1968 Napoleon High School graduate, he was a United States Army Vietnam War veteran. He was an equipment installer for Embarq for 40 years.
His family came first and he enjoyed music, camping, Harley-Davidson motorcycles and NASCAR.
Rev. Ethan Wall will conduct the funeral service at 7 P.M. Thursday, May 28, 2009, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Rushsylvania, with one hour of visitation prior to the service.
