Twila Brown

Twila R. Brown, 92, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, and formerly of Ashland, Ohio, passed away at 9:35 A.M. Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the Campbell House in Bellefontaine. She was born August 22, 1918 in LaGrange, Ohio, the daughter of the late John and Carrie (Gault) Dennison.

On October 28, 1938, she married Thurman “Brownie” Brown and he preceded her in death. Brownie was Sherriff of Ashland County for twelve years. Twila was a retired Chief Deputy of Ashland County, Ashland, Ohio.

She is survived by her sister, Eileen “Dolly” Sutton of Bellefontaine; a brother-in-law, Robert Cash; two sister-in-laws, Opal Dennison and Joyce Dennison; a nephew, Guy (Corrine) Sutton of Georgetown, Ohio; a niece, Toni (Roger) Overbey of Indian Lake, Ohio, and several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, as well as good friends Don and Debbie Cress.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine with Pastor Larry Brown officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held later Wednesday at 3:00 P.M. in the Savannah Cemetery in Savannah, Ohio.
