Vernon L.W. Wildermuth

September 19, 1923 - April 26, 2013

Vernon L.W. “Vernie” Wildermuth, 89, of Botkins, Ohio, passed away at 2:55 A.M. Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Heritage Manor Nursing & Rehab Center in Minster, Ohio.

He was born in Shelby County Ohio September 19, 1923, to the late George and Matilda (Kempfer) Wildermuth. He was also preceded in death by a son, Timothy Wildermuth, and three sisters, Mildred Weidel, Elsie Keysor and Miriam Zwiebel

On January 20, 1945 he married the former Ludema Bennett and she survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Mickie (Doug) McGowan of Botkins and Sandra (Byron) Faler of Wapakoneta, Ohio; a son, Robert (Barbara) Wildermuth of Bellefontaine, Ohio; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; a sister, Marcille (Richard) Sailor of Wapakoneta; a brother, Ermine (Marlene) Wildermuth of Wapakoneta, and numerous nieces and nephews. .

A lifelong farmer, Vernie was a member of the St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church in Jackson Center, Ohio and enjoyed woodworking.

Pastor Shannon Vogelezang and Pastor Richard Faust will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 29, 2013 at the St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church. Calling hours are Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 12 to 5 P.M. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Jackson Center and at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be at the New Loramie Valley Cemetery in Botkins, Ohio.

The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Jackson Center handled the arrangements.
