Viola E. Coyer Craig, 71, of Bellefontaine, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016, at Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on November 5, 1944 in Bellefontaine, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Mildred (Horne) Coyer. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Ralph and Jack Coyer; two granddaughters and one grandson.
Viola married Kenneth A. Craig on September 16, 1983 and he survives along with children, Cathy Rogers, Mary Cook, Theresa Brannan, Mildred Robinson, Tom Dingey and John Brannan; sisters, Florence Ellis, Margaret (Kenneth) Frazier and Madalene Sharp; brothers, Franklin Coyer, Marion Lee Coyer, and Clarence “Buddy” Coyer; a step-brother, Marion Coyer; and numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Viola was a babysitter to all children. She was a loving and kind person and never knew a stranger. She enjoyed giving cookies, pies, candy and small gifts at the holidays. Viola loved Jesus and loved to have the bible read to her. She will be greatly missed by her family.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016, at 11:00 am with Pastor Ron Irick officiating at the West Liberty First Church of God, 315 Liberty St., West Liberty. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.
Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
