Violet D. Siegenthaler Cline, 91, of Huntsville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at the Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty, Ohio. She was born April 13, 1919 in Springfield, Ohio, to the late Hobert Tingley and Maude (Payne) Newman.
She is survived by a son, Robert (Rita) Siegenthaler Jr. of Lewistown, Ohio; daughters, Nancy L. Groves of Bellefontaine, Ohio, and Lola (James) Blair of Huntsville; daughter-in-law, Vicky Myers of Huntsville; twenty six grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were husbands, Clarence Myers, Robert Siegenthaler Sr. and William Cline; her step father, Arthur Newman, two sons, Albert and Jessie Myers; three brothers, Thomas, Delbert, and Ronnie Newman; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
During World War II, Violet built airplanes in Washington Courthouse. She worked for the Belmont Casket Company in Columbus and was a cook at the YMCA.
She was a member of the Marysville Eagles and Past President of the Woman’s Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge.
Calling hours will be Friday, August 13, 2010, from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where Pastor Cheryl Siegenthaler will conduct the funeral service at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, August 14, 2010. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.
