Violet L. Dean, 92, of Bellefontaine passed away Tuesday morning, December 30, 2014 at Logan Acres Care Center. She was born in Bellefontaine on November 5, 1922 to the late Frank M. and Clara (Gilroy) Copeland. She was also preceded in death by brothers Marlin Copeland and Edgar Copeland, a sister Frieda Richardson and a granddaughter Lura Scott.
Violet was a member of the Bellefontaine First Church of God. She had worked as a clerk at JC Penney, Uhlmans / Stage Department stores. Violet also worked for several years at Noah’s Ark Daycare.
Violet is survived by a daughter Reba Blosser of Bellefontaine; three grandchildren: Jacquie (Ty) Rowe, Dean Blosser and Robert Blosser, all of Bellefontaine; eight great-grandchildren: Natasha Fissel, Nathan (Angel) Walker, Christina Allen, Chuckie Everhardt, Carrie Blosser, Stephani Tejera, Larry Blosser and Joplyn Blosser; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 at First Church of God, Bellefontaine at 12noon with Pastor Ray Headings officiating. Visitation will be held at the church two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
