Violet Elouise Hawk Jones, 90, of Sandusky, Ohio and formerly of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 at her children’s home in Sandusky.
She was born May 3, 1923 in Huntsville, Ohio, the daughter of the late James and Cora Elousie (Clements) Shroyer.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Dwight Hawk and her second husband, Edward E. Jones; her daughter, Rebecca Farrel; two sisters, Virginia Muth and Nettie Wren and her son in law, Stanley Curtis.
She is survived by her son, Mark Hawk; her daughter, Cecelia Curtis, both of Sandusky; her brother, John Shroyer and her sister, Marilyn J. Miller both of Bellefontaine, Ohio; three grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She attended the the Church of the Brethren in Bellefontaine and the St. Stephen’s Church in Sandusky. She loved to play cards, especially Rummy.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. Rev. A.W. Purdin will then officiate a graveside service following the calling hours at 3:00 PM at the Rushsylvania Cemetery in Rushsylvania, Ohio.
