Virginia Ann Hall Bloom, 90, of Versailles, Kentucky, and formerly of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2008, at Hospice of the Bluegrass in Frankfort, Kentucky.
She was born in Circleville on August 25, 1918, a daughter of the late Samuel E. “Sam” and Ruth Lois Smith Hall. She also was preceded in death by her husband, James Andrew Bloom, on January 21, 1996; and two sisters, Margaret (Chuck) Hammon and Jean (Scud) Agenbroad.
Survivors include a son, Raymond (Sharon) Bloom of Versailles, Kentucky; two grandsons, Jamie (Angie) Bloom of Lexington, Kentucky, and Tom (Kelly) Bloom of Hebron, Kentucky; three great-grandsons, Hayden, Myles and Cooper Bloom; and a brother, John (Phyllis) Hall of Goshen, Indiana.
A homemaker, she was involved with her husband and his brother, Karl, in the family grocery store, Bloom’s Market in Belle Center. She was a lifelong member of the Belle Center United Presbyterian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
The funeral service begins at 11 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2008, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center, where visitation is one hour prior to the service. Burial is in the Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.
