Virginia Lee Miller, 79, of Zanesfield passed away Saturday afternoon, October 10, 2015 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She was born in Bellefontaine on August 7, 1936 to the late Foster A. and Edith (Hammack) Cole.

On September 22, 1957, Virginia married Don K. Miller in Bellefontaine and he preceded her in death on June 18, 2015. She was also preceded in death by brothers James Cole and Roger Cole.

Virginia was a 1954 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, where she was the Valedictorian. She attended Wilmington College and graduated from The Ohio State University in 1959. She taught Junior High School at Amanda-Clearcreek and then West Liberty-Salem Schools. Virginia was Past-President of the Logan County Republican Women, Past-President of the Ohio Young Farmers Wives and former secretary treasurer of the Gideon’s Auxiliary. She was also a member of the West Liberty Fortnightly Literary Club since 1977. Virginia had also been a 4-H Advisor, member of the Ohio Sheep Improvement Association and a member of McKee’s Creek Chapel.

Virginia is survived by her sons, Tim (Lynn) Miller of Zanesfield and Jim Miller of Bellefontaine; grandchildren: Ben (Holly) Miller, Matt (Abby) Miller, Steve Miller, Foster Miller and Oliver Miller; three great-grandchildren: Ryan, Brianna and Ella Miller.

Pastor Floyd Lundy will officiate a memorial service on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine where visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.
