Virginia Millice

Virginia E. Millice, 91, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty, Ohio. She was born in Vinton County, Ohio July 25, 1920, a daughter of the late Virgil and Cora L. (Russell) Thaxton. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Ervin, a son, Ronald Miller, two sisters and three brothers.

She married Charles Miller and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include sisters, Juanita (Richard) Neer of Urbana, Ohio, Kathleen Wenger of Yankton, South Dakota and Helen L. Peterson of Bellefontaine; a son-in-law, Jonathan “Chris” Ervin of Springfield, Ohio; a grandson, Shannon Blankenship of Indiana and numerous nieces and nephews.

She worked in the dietary department at the former Mercy Hospital in Springfield now known as Springfield Regional Hospital and at the former Wren’s (now Macy), also in Springfield.

Gene Marine will conduct a graveside service Monday, August 15, 2011 at 1 P.M. at the Maple Grove Cemetery in North Lewisburg, Ohio.
