Virginia Belle Royer, 95, formerly of Belle Center passed away Tuesday evening, January 27, 2015 at Green Hills Care Center.

Virginia was born in Lima, Ohio on November 10, 1919 to the late Ambrose and Edna Sutter Keller. She married Paul Woodrow Royer in Covington, Kentucky on August 25, 1937 and he preceded her in death on June 1, 1997. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Rita Klinger, siblings Albert and Harold Keller, Beatrice Sproul, Helen Zwiebel, and Betty Woodruff, and two dear friends, Mary Dillon and Mary Lou Crapnell.

Virginia worked at the Belle Center Creamery and then later worked as a clerk at the Logan County Treasurers Office. She was a 1937 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and was a 70+year member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Virginia was a member of the Belle Center United Methodist Church, where she was active in the United Methodist Women and the Fides Chapter of Kings Daughters.

Virginia is survived by her children; Delores Rockhold of Waynesville, Ohio, Ronald P. (Patty) Royer of Port Charlotte, Florida, Marie (Jack) Orders of Belle Center, and Stephen C. (Cindy) Royer of Fort Wayne, Indiana; son-in-law Jerry Klinger of Greensboro, NC; 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephew; and a close friend, Ruth Worley.

Pastor Kevin Smith will officiate a funeral service at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 306 N. Elizabeth St. Belle Center on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be on Saturday, two hours prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.
