Vivian Kay Kissinger fought the good fight and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 19, 2017. She was born on September 24, 1946, to the late Roy and Darlene Austin. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Dye; sister, Sue Austin Herring; and husband, Jim Kissinger.
Kay attended Riverside Local Schools and retired from ODOT in 2009. After retirement, she moved to Bluefield, West Virginia to spend time with her first and true love, Bobby B. Barber.
Kay will be lovingly remembered by her children, Sandy (John) Reid and David (Lori) Barber. She will also be fondly remembered by her five grandchildren, Josh Strayer, Justin Strayer, Jaylee Reid, Stefan (Kayla) Barber, and Alexa Barber; as well as great grandchildren, Evan, Emma, Abigail, and Isabelle Strayer. She was a great mother, and loving grandmother, who believed in honesty, personal responsibility, and hard work.
Reverend Bill Halter will officiate a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Fairview Cemetery in Quincy, Ohio.
The arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff, Ohio.
