Warren Clark

Warren Harding Clark, 95, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015 at Logan Acres Care Center.

He was born on August 2, 1920, a son of the late Benjamin Clifford and Clara (Lynch) Clark. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Meadows; sisters. Vyrtle Boyd, Barbara Ann George and Mary Cane; brothers, Lewis and Richard Clark, 1 grandchild and 1 great-grandchild.

On October 11, 1947 in Roundhead, he married his first wife, Doris Mae (Cane) Clark and she preceded him in death on April 24, 1977.

On February 14, 1980 he married his second wife, the former Theresa Turner and she survives along with their children, Dedria (Michael) Scott of Dayton, Terri Turner of Columbus; sons, Glenn (Teddy) Clark of Las Vegas, Nevada and Gail Clark of Bellefontaine; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Lou Rogan of Bellefontaine; and brothers, Lester (Gloria Dean) Clark of Kenton, Neal (Quo Vadas) Clark and Roscelle Clark both of Bellefontaine; son-in-law, Jesse Meadows and a host of nieces and nephews.

Warren was a painting contractor. In earlier years he owned and operated Clark’s Contracting and Merchandising Store.

A Buffalo Soldier, he was an Army Veteran of WWII. He was also a member of the Grace A.M.E. Church, served on the Park Board with the City of Bellefontaine and was a member of the Harold Kerr Post #173 American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, and was an avid sports fan, especially baseball.

Pastor J. D. Grigsby will officiate a 1 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at First Church of God, 1000 East Brown Street, Bellefontaine. Friends may call on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 321 North Main Street, Bellefontaine. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery where Military Rites will be held by the Logan County Honor Guard.
