Wayne E. “Sky” King, age 70, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at 1:39 A.M. Monday, October 20, 2014 at his home.

He was born in Springfield, Ohio July 29, 1944, to the late William E.L. and Inez (Collier) King.

He is survived by his daughters, Shelly Ann King and Vivette Marie (David) Walker, both of Dundee, Michigan; three sisters, Marsha Dian King of Bucyrus, Ohio, Judith Elaine Jordon of West Liberty, Ohio and Pamela (Nathaniel) King of Urbana, Ohio; a brother, Hal William (Nancy) King of Bellefontaine; three grandchildren, Heather Renee Mell, John Ray Taylor III and Walker Adan King-Cervantes, all of Dundee, Michigan, and a great grandson, Konner Ray Mell of Dundee, Michigan.

Wayne was a 1963 graduate of West Liberty-Salem High School. He worked as a locomotive engineer with C&N Railroad retiring after thirty nine years of service. An avid bowler, Wayne was a member of the Locomotive Engineer Association, the NRA and the Calvary Baptist Church in Bellefontaine.

Pastor Jeffory Willetts will officiate the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Bellefontaine. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 2 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty.

Interment will be at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty at the convenience of the family.

A close family friend, Christy Wilborn, is currently battling a brain tumor. It was Wayne’s request that any memorial contributions be made to assist Christy with her treatment expenses. Contributions can be made online at gofundme.com/christyw.

The funeral arrangements were in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty.
