Wayne Smith
Wayne L. Smith, 61, originally of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away after an extended illness September 2, 2013, at the Gainesville Health Care Center in Florida with family members by his side.
He was born in Kenton, Ohio September 12, 1951, a son of Carroll V. Budd Smith, who survives with his stepmother Darlene in Palm Bay, Florida, and his mother, Peggy J. Dysert Pittman who survives in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, John C. Pittman; a step-brother, Donald R. Gould, and nephews, Zachariah Keller and Stephen Gould.
Survivors include his brother, Alan (Ellen) Smith of Carmichael, California; sisters, Tina Houchin and Mary (Dan) Noffsinger, both of Bellefontaine; step-brothers, Dan (Carol) Gould of Melbourne, Florida, and Michael (Aura) Gould of Cody, Wyoming; two aunts, Patty Stringer and Irma Clingerman and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
A 1969 graduate of Belle Center High School, Wayne served in the United States Air Force for four years and worked many years at RCA in Findlay, Ohio. He enjoyed bowling, NASCAR, the Pittsburgh Steelers and playing poker with friends.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center with Pastor Bryan Meadows officiating. Veteran services will be provided by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
