Wendell A. Hurless, age 77, of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
He was born May 31, 1937 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to the late Wade and Eleanor (Snyder) Hurless.
On August 31, 1958, he married the former Pauline A. Shafer in Ada, Ohio and she preceded him in death February 11, 2004. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Hurless.
Surviving are his children, Cynthia Liles of Dunedin, Florida, Christine Hurless of Russells Point, Ohio, Jody (Steve) Williams and Earl Hurless, both of Belle Center; ten grandchildren, Richard II, Andrew and Amanda Predmore, Brooke, Tasha, Ashley and Wendell John Hurless, Chad (Andrea) Claybaugh, Kandi Miller and Specialist Steven (Beth) Williams; and eighteen great grandchildren.
Wendell retired in 2003 from Iron Worker Local #290. He was a member of the Indian Lake Moose Lodge #1553 and for fifty years, was a member of the Iron Worker Local #290. He liked old Ford tractors, fishing and NASCAR. He was proud for having worked on the Mackinaw Bridge.
Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate the 11:00 A.M. funeral service Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral in Belle Center, where calling hours will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 11, 2104.
Interment will be at the Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio,
