Wesley C. Worrell, age 62 of Rushsylvania, Ohio, passed away at 2:55 P.M. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Heartland of Bellefontaine in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
He was born in Franklin, Ohio June 18, 1951, to the late Willie and Alice (Coyle) Worrell. A sister, Rhonda Worrell, also preceded him in death.
On November 7, 1970, he married the former Karen Wood and she survives. He is also survived by six children, Wesley Worrell of Rushsylvania; Lance (Jennifer) Worrell of Bellefontaine, Luke Worrell of West Liberty, Ohio, Kari (Jeff) Thompson of Rushsylvania, Jessie (Barry) Hempy of Rushsylvania, Alice (Dustin) Harmon of Bellefontaine; grandchildren Justin, Joe and Molly Worrell, Andrew, Josh, Jessica and Willie Hempy, Jessie Carmen, Nya and Nathan Worrell, Karen, Alexis and John Worrell, Vincent, Dometri and Sadie Harmon; sisters, Kathy (Bill) Bush and Moody (Billy) Scearce, both of Franklin, Ohio; Daryl Banks, and half-brothers, Jason and Dwayne Banks, all of Kentucky, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wes retired from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and enjoyed fishing and playing guitar.
Pastor Lynn Cleaveland will officiate the funeral service at 12 noon Thursday, April 10, 2014, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral. Interment will be at the Rushsylvania Cemetery in Rushsylvania, Ohio.
The funeral arrangements were in care of the staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
