Wilda Marie Forsythe, 97, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine. She was born September 19, 1912, in Marion County Ohio to the late Clifford and Mary (Manley) Beaver.
On August 21, 1945, she married Elmer Forsythe in Marion, Ohio, and he preceded her in death March 17, 1982. Also preceding her in death were two sons, Robert and Herschel E. Forsythe; two sisters, Clarabelle Walters and Leafa Gorenflow; one grandchild, great grandchild and a great-great grandchild.
Surviving are two sons, Donald (Rose Ellen) Forsythe of Mechanicsburg, Ohio, and Roger Forsythe of Puyallup, Washsington; a daughter Carolyn (Darrell) Collins of Bellefontaine; fifteen grandchildren, thirty one great grandchildren and twenty great-great grandchildren.
Wilda, a homemaker and a good cook who loved to cook big meals, was a graduate of Waldo High School in 1932 and was a member of the West Liberty United Church of Christ.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 5, 2009, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling hours are from 2 P.M. to 5 P.M. Sunday, October 4, 2009. Burial will be in the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio.
