Willa D. Turner Yoesting Van Natta, age 89, formerly of Roundhead, Ohio, passed away Wednesday evening, April 23, 2014 at the Hospitality House in Massillon, Ohio.
She was born in Grantsville, West Virginia August 17, 1924, to the late W. Frederick and Bertha McCulty Bennett. She was also preceded in death by three husbands, Wayne Turner, Edwin Yoesting and Darwin Van Natta; a sister, Arlena Cottrill; brothers, Ernest Bennett and John Bennett and a son, Willis Turner.
Willa is survived by three daughters, Joann (Don) Minter of Kenton, Ohio, Lois (Peter) Goodwin of Troutman, North Carolina and Roberta (Les) Ward of Dayton, Ohio; four sons, Gene (Vivian) Turner of St. Paris, Ohio, Ron (Karen) Turner of Odum, Georgia, Rick Turner of Thornville, Ohio and Donn (Lynn) Yoesting of Massillon; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Willa worked at the Lima Tank Depot during World War II making Westinghouse Flying Tigers motors. She also worked at Diebold, Essex Wire and in various restaurant management and service positions. She ran an in-home daycare center in Gainesville, Florida caring for over 150 children.
Pastor Christine Elliott will officiate the funeral service at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. where the family will receive friends one half hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio.
