William David Buroker

November 10, 1939 - February 25, 2013

William David “Bill” Buroker, 73, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away at 1:53 A.M. Monday, February 25, 2013 at his home. He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio November 10, 1939, to the late Carl and Mary Louise Alcott Buroker. He was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law Joann Buroker.

On July 31, 1966, he married the former Doris Rase in Powellsville, Ohio and she survives.

He is also survived by his four children, Scott (Missy) Buroker of Urbana, Ohio, Gina (Shane) Boggs of West Liberty, Holly Buroker of Bellefontaine and Lisa (Steve) Tracey of Huntsville, Ohio; six grandchildren, Logan Boggs, Allison Boggs, Lane Boggs, David Buroker, Drew Buroker and Kayla Tracey; two brothers, Robert Buroker of New York and John (Sharon) Buroker of North Carolina, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a 1957 graduate of West Liberty High School and a member of the United Church of Christ in West Liberty. Bill was an avid Ohio State fan who loved classic country music. He loved to garden, raise and show livestock, and took great pride and joy in the successful Hoanbu Dairy Goats family business. Above all, he loved his family.

Bill loved the life he spent farming, which was evidenced by his involvement and success within the farming community. He was a member of the Logan County Antique Power Association, Farm Bureau, American Dairy Goat Association, a long-time member of the Logan County Fair Board
and a former 4-H Advisor.

Pastor Paul Forrey will officiate the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the West Liberty United Church of Christ in West Liberty. Calling hours are Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty and at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty.

Memorial contributions may be made to the West Liberty United Church of Christ.

The funeral arrangements were handled by the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty.
