William David “Bill” Fry, 91, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine. He was born October 26, 1917, in Bellefontaine to the late William C. and Florence Ethel (Rea) Fry.
On March 17, 1939, he married Doris Fern Park in Huntsville, Ohio, and she preceded him in death August 17, 1986.
Surviving is a daughter, Christy (Mark) Hurney of Cardington, Ohio; a sister, Ruth Murphy of West Liberty, Ohio; three grandchildren, Kaci Kroninger and Aaron and Alexander Hurney; four great grandchildren; and three nephews, Ray, Richard, and Todd Murphy.
An electrician for Dayton Power & Light, he was an Army veteran serving in World War II. Bill was a 1935 graduate of Huntsville High School, a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, a volunteer for Bellefontaine Box 15 Fire Department, and a member of the V.F.W.
Pastor Kevin Boggs will conduct the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 8, 2009, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio, with military honors by the Logan County Honor Guard.
