William Leo Fullerton, 95, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, was reunited with the love of his life Friday afternoon, December 28, 2012 from Green Hills Community in West Liberty, Ohio.
Leo was born in Huntsville, Ohio October 26, 1917, to the late Robert Tiry and Beryl Faye Morton Fullerton. He married the former Carrie Elizabeth “Betty” Royer July 10, 1949 in Bellefontaine, and she preceded him in death December 7, 2010. Leo was also preceded in death by a brother Wilbur Fullerton, and sisters Ruth Franks, Inez Van Horn, Lois Grimes and Joan Myers.
Leo was a 1935 graduate of Zanesfield High School and a member of the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine. In his early years, he worked as a farmer and milk tester, sold farm equipment and seed corn. He later retired from Fullerton Realty after forty plus years.
Leo is survived by two sons and daughters-in-laws, Lynn R. and Sue Fullerton, Kent D. and Melody Fullerton, all of Bellefontaine; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Fullerton, Ian Fullerton, Adam (Terri) Fullerton and Noah Zane (Jenny) Fullerton; seven great-grandchildren, Rylie, Rianna, Chase, Eli and Bryce Fullerton, Josh and Jordan Kauffman, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Leo loved music and played numerous instruments, but was best remembered for his directing and performing with the Loganairres Barbershop Chorus and the Fullertones Quartet.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 3, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine with Rev. F. Michael Valentine officiating. Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. Interment will be at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty.
