William Godwin

Biography

William “Bill” Lee Godwin, 55, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Ohio.

He was born February 13, 1958 in Bellefontaine, to Mary Lou (Rumer) Godwin of Bellefontaine and the late William E. Godwin, who passed away September 19, 2005. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Debra Thompson in 1996.

Surviving is a brother, Richard (Lori) Godwin of Powell, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Heather (Troy) Miller of Bellefontaine, Jason (Amy) Godwin of Westerville, Ohio and Ryan (Nicole) Thompson of Centreville, Virginia; great nieces and nephews, Shawn, Daniel, Elizabeth and Mason Miller, Ben and Luke Godwin and Hillary, Isaac and Cooper Thompson, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Bill worked at Honda of America in Marysville, Ohio. A collector of hats, he enjoyed music, writing songs, playing several instruments, including the guitar, and singing.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, September 8, 2013, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. A private burial service will be held at a later date in the Hale Cemetery.
