William Ernest Leib

November 14, 1917 - May 6, 2013

William “Ernie” Ernest Leib, 95, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Monday, May 6, 2013 at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine.

He was born in Bellefontaine November 14, 1917, to the late William Daniel and Edna Mae (Garber) Leib. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Phillip Leib in 2009, Earl Leib in 1991 and Anna Margaret Leib in 2003.

Surviving are his nieces and nephews, Doris Leib of West Liberty, Ohio, Joan (Steve) Skidmore of Blanchester, Ohio, Jean Leib of Washington State, Melvin (Linda) Leib of St. Louis, Missouri, William (Suzanne) Leib of Bainbridge, Ohio and Robert (Dawnnetta) Leib.

A Logan County farmer and a 1936 graduate of Monroe High School, Ernie was a member of the West Liberty United Church of Christ for over eighty years. He served fifteen years as a Trustee for the church and thirty years as class secretary. He cared for his parents and sister for many, many years.

Calling hours are Thursday, May 9, 2013, from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty. A graveside service will be held at the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Paul Forrey officiating.
