William A. Rowe, 67, of Rushsylvania passed away Saturday morning, April 11, 2015 at his home. He was born in McGuffey on September 19, 1947 to the late Archie and Rosie (Puckett) Rowe. Bill was also preceded in death by a son Jonathon E. Rowe on July 20, 1990; three sisters: Betty Crowe, Margaret Mulholland and Anthy Rowe; and a brother Gerald Rowe.
Bill retired from National Extrusion where he worked for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed calling Bingo; fourteen years with the humane society and many years for the Logan County Friendly Senior Center. Bill was a past board member of the Humane Society. In his later years, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bill married the former Rita Chamberlain on September 12, 1966 at her parent’s house in Bellefontaine and she survives in Rushsylvania. He is also survived by son Bill (Jill) Rowe, Jr. of Rushsylvania, daughter Sondra Rowe of Bellefontaine; six grandchildren: Justin Wilson, Joseph Wilson, Crystal Wilson, Chelsea Defibaugh, Dusty Hastings and Dylan Rowe; eight great-grandchildren; five brothers: Ted (Georgette) Rowe, Dean Rowe and Oscar (Linda) Rowe, all of Alger, Rob Rowe of Kenton and Sam (Donna) Rowe of Dola; a sister Mary Ann (Joel) Kritzler of Kenton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Pastor Bill Prater will officiate the funeral service on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Zanesfield Cemetery.
