Willie M. Yoder, 74, County Road 101, Belle Center, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 5, 2011 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born December 1, 1936 in Nappanee, Indiana, the son of the late Menno W. and Malinda (Miller) Yoder.

On May 11, 1961, he married Leanna Hochstetler in Nappanee, Indiana and she survives. He is also survived by three children; Mark (Karen) Yoder of Maysville, Missouri, Glenda (Philip) Miller and Doretta (Owen) Yoder, both of Belle Center, Ohio; twenty grandchildren; one great grandchild; three sisters, Elizabeth Hochstetler, Laura (Ray) Nisley, Sylvia (Devon) Fingerle, all of Sarasota, Florida; three brothers, Amos (Marie) Yoder of Sarasota, Florida, Owen (Elnora) Yoder of Nappanee, Indiana, and Ervin (Amanda) Yoder of Shipshewana, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by a sister Gertie Yoder, and four brothers, Alvin, Lester, Levi, and Emmon Yoder.

He accepted Christ as his Savior in his youth and was a member of the Belle Center Amish Church. He owned and operated Yoder’s Country Furniture.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 9:30 A.M. at the home of Mahlon E. Coblentz, 7443 County Road 49, in Belle Center, Ohio with Bishop Dan Gingerich officiating. Visitation will be Monday, March 7, 2011 from 6 to 8 P.M. and also on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Yoder home, 9164 County Road 101 in Belle Center, Ohio. Interment will be in the Amish Cemetery in Belle Center.

The staff at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center assisted the family with arrangements.
